Niche Cafe-Queen West Coffee Shop

by admin on December 1, 2010

Have you ever wondered that all that a cafe is missing is a niche that will stand out and make you want more? Well you might be in luck as Niche Cafe is prepared to meet most if not all of your coffee demands. Located on Queens Street just west of Bathurst, Niche Coffee & Tea Company is an independently owned and operated espresso bar/café.

The café offers a variety of coffee blends all uniquely named after Torontonian neighborhoods such as the “Kensington Market” or the “Queen West” blends. If you want you can also purchase these coffees by the pound at reasonable prices. At Niche café you will find the regular espresso based beverages, which if I may add are quite flavorful, along with a variety of 14 different wild-grown teas. The café also offers a variety of ice drinks definitely worth tasting.

When enjoying your coffee it would be a shame not to taste some of their delicious home baked desserts such as muffins, cookies or cinnamon rolls. Don’t be fooled though. Niche doesn’t only carry your regular coffee complements, the café is also well known for their breakfast and brunch menus with one of the top choices amongst the regulars being the brunch pancakes. I can personally vouch for how tasty these pancakes are. Some of the breakfast and brunch items are eggs, made in any style you like them, banana bread with nutella and granola both of which are homemade along with a variety of omelets.

The location of the café is also of great importance. Situated a few minutes’ walk from the Trinity Bellwoods Park the café can be a great place to stop by and pick up a drink or snack on your way to the park. For those of you who like enjoying your drink at the café, Niche has a lot to offer. Hardwood floors and elegant interior design will make your time at the café well worth remembering.Niche café is also equipped with a patio at the back of the store for those of you who like to enjoy their coffee outdoors in the hot summer months.

One of the only downfalls of this café is that it is not equipped with a Wi-Fi connection thus deterring those of you who want to enjoy their coffee while getting some work done online. The café is open 7 days a week from 8am to 5pm. Overall the Niche café has a lot to offer even to the most demanding of costumers, a must visit destination on the Queen West strip.
